Total Elite Soccer Training was founded in October 2017 by Sanel Dzafic, widely known as Sonny, with a clear mission: to provide high-quality, individualized soccer training in an environment focused on long-term player development. After concluding his playing career, Sonny felt a strong responsibility to give back to Iowa’s soccer community and help young athletes navigate their development with proper guidance, structure, and support.
Having experienced both the challenges of limited resources early in his career and the benefits of high-level training environments later on, Sonny recognized a gap in individualized, detail-oriented coaching. Total Elite Soccer Training was created to bridge that gap offering players the type of instruction, accountability, and mentorship that can make a lasting difference in their growth.
What began as a small training operation quickly evolved into a respected development program serving players across Iowa. Today, Sonny and his coaching staff work with athletes ages 8 to 25, providing 1-on-1, 2-on-1, small-group, and position-specific training designed to meet each player where they are and help them progress with purpose.
At Total Elite Soccer Training, the belief is simple: every player has potential. Through personalized coaching, consistent feedback, and a positive yet challenging environment, players are encouraged to build confidence, sharpen their technical abilities, and develop the mindset needed to succeed at the next level both on and off the field.
